Sky Ingram opens Nevill Holt Opera season and their new house as Countess Almaviva

Congratulations to Nevill Holt Opera and the cast of Le nozze di Figaro, who opened the season and the new opera house with a production that received 4 stars in The Stage and the Telegraph.

With Sky Ingram as Countess Almaviva to James Newby's Count Almaviva, the Royal Northern Sinfonia was conducted by Artistic Director Nicholas Chalmers.

With Sky and Aoife Miskelly (Susanna) ... being noted for 'a beautifully blended Letter duet and lovely renderings of their big arias.'

The two baritones were summed up by Rupert Christiansen in The Telegraph.... 'Both he (Lawson Anderson) and Newby are terrific.'

The house was designed by Stirling Prize winners Witherford Watson Mann with acoustic design by Sound and Space Vision and reviews mark it an 'indisputable triumph'...

'With its warm acoustics and state-of the-art technical equipment and backstage facilities, this can truly be called a home for music.' The Telegraph
