Maestro Arts at the BBC Proms
Five Maestro Arts artists perform at this year’s BBC Proms, announced today.
Lawrence Power performs James MacMillan’s Viola Concerto on 18 July with the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Juanjo Mena.
Elena Urioste performs Ethel Smyth’s Concerto for violin and horn on 25 July with Ben Goldscheider and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Kazuki Yamada.
On 28 July, Ilan Volkov conducts BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in the Brahms Requiem and Jennifer Walshe’s The Site of an Investigation for symphony orchestra and amplified solo voice.
Allan Clayton follows his success as Peter Grimes singing in Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius on 31 August with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Edward Gardner.
James Bonas directs a performance bringing together dance, theatre, video, audio soundscapes and fashion with music by Handel and Philip Glass, including a world premiere, at Printworks London on 3 September.
