Patrick Kinmonth and Cathy Marston: Snowblind, San Francisco Ballet

Unbound B, part of #Unbound2018 will see 3 ballets presented together by San Francisco Ballet: Otherness, Snowblind and Anima Animus. Under the leadership of Helgi Tomasson the festival will feature 12 of the most innovative international choreographers presenting 12 world premieres in 17 days. 

Cathy Marston and Patrick Kinmonth, the team behind Northern Ballet's highly acclaimed production of Jane Eyre, are creating Snowblind, an adaptation of Edith Wharton’s Ethan Frome. 

With music by composers Amy Beach, Philip Feeney, Arthur Foote and Arvo Pärt, arranged by Philip Feeney to create a unique sound piece and by using an American story as the starting point, choreographer Cathy Marston has created a narrative ballet inspired by literature. With Scenic and Costume design by Patrick Kinmonth and Lighting Design by James F. Ingalls the production promises to be spectacular.
