Martin Sieghart called at short notice in Helsingborg

Martin Sieghart has been called to rescue Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. Requested at short notice, his expertise will lead him this time to conduct three complex pieces: Tallis' Spem in Alium, a fascinating choral piece of epic proportion, a work that in Latin recounts the goddess and hopes in no less than 40 polls, followed by Saariaho's Le Château de l'âme, based on texts from ancient Hindu and Egyptian writings about love, earth, spirits and how to heal a child. The unavoidable Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem will finish the programme.

The cast includes Kerstin Avemo, soprano, and Karl-Magnus Fredriksson, Baron.

The concert which mixes Indian, Egyptian, Catholic and Protestant works written in three different languages, certainly appeals to the maestro's extensive traveling experience and multilingual knowledge. A great opportunity to develop his influence in this part of the world.
