The Richard Wagner Stiftung Leipzig have announced that Hartmut Haenchen is the winner of this year's Richard Wagner Preis, the award will be presented to him on 13 May at a ceremony at the Oper Leipzig. Previous winners include Waltraud Meier and Christian Thielemann.
