François-Xavier Roth to return to Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in January 2019

François-Xavier Roth will return to conduct the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in January and February 2019.

He will lead Richard Strauss' Ein Heldenleben on 30 and 31 January 2019, preceded by Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no.5 with soloist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, the orchestra’s artist in residence this season. On 1 February he will lead the Essentials concert performance of Ein Heldenleben.
