François-Xavier Roth extends in Cologne

Congratulations to François-Xavier Roth on extending his GMD contract in Cologne until 2022.

With the Gürzenich Orchestra, he has just led acclaimed performances of Mahler's massive third symphony (view on the orchestra's YouTube channel here).

On Sunday, he conducts the premiere of a new production of Richard Strauss' Salomé, with further performances 18, 20, 24, 26 October and 4, 7, 16, 18 November.

One of the highlights of the season will be the premiere of Lab.Oratorium, the third of the orchestra's trilogy of commissions from Philippe Manoury.
