Benjamin Shwartz appointed Principal Guest Conductor in Duisburg

Benjamin Shwartz has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, from September 2019.

Building on the success of his previous appearances with the orchestra, next season he'll be conducting three of the orchestra's programmes, presenting repertoire reflecting his trademark eclectic approach, including pieces by composers as varied as Bruch, Dvorak, Debussy, Stravinsky, Salonen and the German premiere of Mason Bates' Anthology of Fantastic Zoology.
