Allan Clayton gives the World Premiere of Mark-Anthony Turnage's song cycle
Allan Clayton joins the Britten Sinfonia and Andrew Gourlay to give the world premiere of Mark-Anthony Turnage's Refugee for tenor and chamber orchestra at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest on 19 September. The new work questions what it means to be a refugee, now and through the ages, using texts by poets which include Benjamin Zephaniah and Emily Dickinson.
The UK premiere is on 20 September at Milton Court in London.
