A DEVIL’S BARGAIN AND SOME EARTHLY DELIGHTS

Philipp von Steinaecker, conducts the closing concert at Ojai, CA showcasing some of the most beloved chamber works of the 20th century and featuring Patricia Kopatchinskaja's dazzling interpretation of Ligeti's layered and complex violin concerto. Also, music from Stravinsky's L'Histoire du soldat on the occasion of the work's centennial, and Bartók's buoyant Divertimento for Strings.

The performance on 10 June, 4:30pm (PDT) in Ojai will be streamed live via their website and the festival's YouTube channel.

The Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Philipp von Steinaecker will then perform at Berkeley (16 June) and at Snape Maltings (20 June).
