A busy night at the 2018 International Opera Awards
Congratulations to Kazushi Ono for his nomination for the Conductor of the Year Award at the 2018 International Opera Awards. A double celebration with Der Mieter by Arnulf Hermman, which Kazushi conducted at Oper Frankfurt, being nominated in the World Premiere category.
It was a busy night at the London Coliseum, with Allan Clayton (Hamlet) joining Brett Dean on stage to collect the World Premiere Award for Dean's Hamlet at Glyndebourne. Whilst Sky Ingram, stepped into the breach at an hour's notice to perform Make Our Garden Grow from Candide, with Toby Spence and the Opera Awards Foundation chorus.
Bravo to all.
