Chloë Hanslip
‘compelling suppleness’
Chloë Hanslip made her mark as a teenager, debuting at the BBC Proms at fourteen and in the US at fifteen. She has since performed at prestigious venues around the world, including London’s Royal Festival Hall, Vienna Musikverein and Carnegie Hall in New York.
Recent highlights include performances with the London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic and Singapore Symphony, as well as a UK tour with the Czech National Symphony. Her latest recording features concertos by Robert Russell Bennett and Vernon Duke with the Singapore Symphony.
Hanslip’s musical curiosity covers the entire concerto repertoire from Britten and Delius to Barber and Bernstein. She has a particular passion for contemporary music and this season she takes part in the European premiere of Jake Heggie’s Intonations at the Red Violin Festival, inspired by the ‘Violins of Hope’ that were rescued from Auschwitz. Other highlights this season include a BBC Radio 3 Lunchtime concert at LSO St Luke’s and a return tour of Scotland with duo partner Danny Driver.
