Rizzi conducts new double bill and his 100th opera at the Bastille
After his recent success at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, Carlo Rizzi will conduct Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Hindemith's Sancta Susanna at Opéra Bastille. Astonishingly, Sancta Susanna is Rizzi's 100th opera title, and one that highlights the breadth and depth of his truly epic repertoire list. Mario Martone's new productions are double cast and will run from 30 November until 23 December. The productions will feature Elīna Garanča and Elena Zhidkova as Santuzza, Yonghoon Lee and Marco Berti as Turiddu and Anna Caterina Antonacci as Susanna.
